| I LOVE to READ!! What better place for an avid reader than Brookman's library? It is great to be surrounded by books and all the amazing students here. I have been the library teacher at Brookman for 7 years and taught first grade here for 3 years before that--Yes, that means I have been here since the school opened. Before coming to Brookman, I taught first grade for 5 years at Martin Luther King Elementary School. I was also a substitute teacher for the 7 years prior to becoming a full time teacher.
With 5 children and 12 (soon to be 14) grandchildren, my favorite pastime is spending time with them.

Hello, I am Mrs. Darrington and I came to Brookman ES in 2005. I started working for the CCSD in 1999 as a subsitute teacher. I decided I would like to be a PE Aide. My first assignment was at Harris ES in 2001. Then I transfered to Adams ES as the Library Aide. After six months doing that, Adams ES needed a new PE Aide. I realized how much I missed PE and was very happy to become the PE Aide there. I was glad to transfer to Brookman ES because it was even closer to my home and my granddaughters at the time were Brookman Builders.
I was born and raised in California. I graduated from Garden Grove High School. I went to Cypress Community College and graduated with an AA. I have 4 children and 8 grandchildren and this fall, number nine will be born.
I really enjoy camping at the beach and Disneyland. I have 4 dogs. I also am a runner and enjoy running 5k's, 10k's and I have run in two half marathons. You may see me out early in the morning in the neighborhood walking/running all four of my dogs. |

| Hi my name is Eddie L. Griffin. I am from a small town in Mississippi called Walnut Grove. I am married to Karen Griffin. Karen is a fifth grade teacher at C.T. Gilbert Magnet Elementary School. We both have worked in Clark County School District for 18 years and are graduates from Mississippi Valley State Univ. We have two girls (10 and 16). I have worked at Rose Warren E.S., Rex Bell E.S., Helen Smith E.S., Parson E.S., and Basic H.S. I coached Boys J.V. Basketball for three years at Basic H.S. I was a member of the Army National Guard for 14 years. I love to fish barbecue, play basketball, play cards, bowl and watch football all day Sunday. Plus, I love to spend time with my family.
