Hello friends and family of our Brookman Builders! My name is Alisa Atherton and I have the privilege of being a second-grade teacher at Brookman Elementary school.

My husband and I have enjoyed living in Las Vegas since 2001. I began my teaching career in California in 1997. We are raising four incredible daughters and one son. Two of our daughters now attend Brookman Elementary.

I have admired and appreciate the commitment and dedication with which our school administrators, teachers, and support staff perform their jobs. My children, and yours, are receiving a quality education from caring and professional individuals. I am thrilled to be part of the staff at Brookman Elementary and I look forward to another successful year with my class.

This school year will be my second year of teaching, and I absolutely love being in the classroom with the students. The students are very important to me and teaching makes for a great reward at the end of the day. I am very excited about another great school year with your children.

I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and moved to Las Vegas with my family when I was 11 years old. I graduated from Las Vegas High School and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Since I was young I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I love teaching and making a difference in a child’s life.

I was born and raised in Hawaii and I now reside in Las Vegas. I have my bachelors in English from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, which is where I also played soccer. I am currently pursuing my masters in elementary education at UNLV. I love the ocean and grew up surfing and doing all sorts of water sports. I love traveling. I have 3 big Italian Mastiffs that weigh over a 100 pounds. This will be my very first year of teaching and I am excited to start my journey.

Hello! I am very excited to begin my sixth year of teaching! I grew up in Michigan and also lived in Wisconsin after college. I have a B.S. in environmental conservation in addition to my teaching certificate. I've also received my master's degree in literacy. During my free time I enjoy camping, hiking, reading, and listening to music. I look forward to this next year and the growth your child will make academically and socially.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas and the Clark County School District. After graduating high school, I attended Brigham Young University where I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to move back and teach in the district where I grew up. My hobbies include reading, swimming, and watching movies. I am so excited for this school year! It is going to be great!
