The foyer partially serves as a tribute to our namesake, Mrs. Eileen B. Brookman. Two of the four display cases are filled with memorbilia from her colorful life. Just a few of the items include her Assemblywoman license plate, awards/honors received, articles, and photos. A few owls (Mrs. Brookman's favorite animal) also reside inside the display cases.

Mrs. Brookman was an avid thimble collector. She collected them from her extensive travels. Many people also gave them to her as gifts, adding to her impressive collection. A special case was built to house her collection for all who pass by to see. A portrait of Mrs. Brookman hangs above the collection to remind us of her vivacious personality.
