As part of the Las Vegas Centennial in 2005, Brookman participated in the City of 100 Murals during the 2004-2005 school year. Students submitted drawings based on the themes of Brookman and the Las Vegas Centennial. Six drawings were chosen to be reproduced as murals. The drawings were enlarged onto canvas. Each grade level painted one panel of the mural. In the photo above, you see the murals painted by kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. Every student and many teachers/staff had a "hand" in painting the murals to celebrate the Las Vegas Centennial.

The above photo are the panels painted by third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. The students were very excited and honored to be a part of this huge project. As they hang in the hallway, students are reminded of the Las Vegas Centennial and their part in the mural project.
